I love visiting new resorts. Every time I step into a resort I haven’t been to yet, I’m always impressed with the advances they make in service, quality, and wow-factor. I have never walked into a resort and was speechless until now. Those that know me personally know that it takes a lot for me to be speechless! On my trip last month to Cancun, I visited Secrets The Vine and received the grand tour from Yamina Bermudez, Wedding Coordinator.
From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with cool towels and glasses of champagne. You walk up this beautiful marble stairway to the reception area. You immediately feel like you are the presence of royalty or at least some Hollywood fame. You never even touch your baggage. They are immediately taken out of your transfers and put into a holding until the bellman shows you to your room.
The décor is contemporary chic. There is a glass wall to the ceiling that holds the wine cellar with thousands of bottles of wine. The ambiance is just incredible.
Ok, enough with the luxury side of it. Let me tell you some of the things that set Secrets Resorts apart from other adults only all-inclusive resorts of its caliber. The coffee bar serves delectable flavored coffees, teas, and espressos. It also has finger sandwiches, pastries, and healthy snacks like a fancy department store’s café would. These items are all included. Really the only items that you would pay over and beyond your all-inclusive package are spa treatments, upgraded wine, and excursions. Everything else is included!
Secrets The Vine may not have a swim up bar but they have something better. A wait staff that will get you anything you need in and around the pools. There are also two bars around the pool areas also. My favorite part of staying at a Secrets resort has to be the fancy lunches! After a long morning of walking the beach and catching some rays by the pool, there is nothing better than fresh fish tacos and a glass of Pinot Grigio poolside looking out onto the beach. That is right people, Secrets The Vine offers ala carte restaurants for lunch and the best part is that they don’t require reservations! It really takes the feeling of the cattle call out of the all-inclusive. These small luxuries put Secrets The Vine up and above all of the other Cancun resorts.
No worries about missing any sports while you are staying at Secrets The Vine. They offer Half Time Sports Bar that caters to the American sports lover. Heck, they even serve American food to watch the games like hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, and fried appetizers you can dip in ranch. Score!
I keep mentioning some of the small features of the resort. We should be focusing on all the gourmet dining Secrets The Vine has. From Fresh Seafood to Sushi to Italian to Mediterranean, each of the restaurants has an extensive ala carte menu that would give a Chicago restaurant a run for its money.
The views from the 12th floor Preferred Club floor are amazing. I walked onto the balcony of the Preferred Club Junior Suite in shock. This property is built higher than all the other properties in the area. The view is unobstructed and endless. I can’t say enough about the level of luxury the guestrooms have. This is a resort not to miss.
Cancun is only a 3 hour nonstop flight from Chicago O’Hare. Sometimes a short trip is necessary and I can help you make it happen. Call me!
I have so much to tell you about weddings at Secrets The Vine, too! Stay tuned for my featured post at topweddingsites.com all about the best ceremony locations on the property.
