Welcome to Costa Rica week! 

Costa Rica is rain forest, beautiful beaches, some of the best surf in the world, and best of all, friendly people.  The Arenal Volcano is active and an incredible site to see. Some of the best views you can get of the volcano are from the Springs Resort & Spa.  This resort, hands down, is my favorite place in the world!  Even though Costa Rica’s natural beauty plays the largest part of this resort, the hot springs tropical landscaping is magical.  There are 18 natural hot springs across the resort ranging in temperatures of 83 ˚F – 103 ˚F degrees.  The closer you get to the volcano, the warmer the hot spring. 

The Springs Resort & Spa is the ultimate in relaxation.  You spend your day moving from spring to spring and just when it may get too hot, it will start to drizzle.  After all, you are in the rain forest!  The sound of waterfalls and the view of lava running down the Arenal Volcano is exhilarating.  The resort itself boasts one of the best spas in the country and four great restaurants featuring some of Costa Rica’s finest dishes.  You can buy a two day pass to the resort to take advantage of the springs & pools and other amenities without staying a night in the hotel. 

After an entire day (or two) of the hot springs, I suggest you hike to the La Paz Waterfall.  Since I have been there, they have equipped the area with new pathways, stairs, and decks to best view the falls.  Tip:  Wear your bathing suit under your hiking clothes and JUMP IN!  The cold water is invigorating and watching the monkeys swing from tree to tree in the distance is super fun!
