Playa Mujeres is located just North of Cancun. The area is know for its pristine beaches, untouched mangrooves and views of Isla Mujeres in the distance.
As one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico, Cancun attracts about four million visitors each year to its pristine white beaches, its top-notch resort and hotel scene and its crystal blue water. The city is home to hundreds of hotels that line the beaches in an area called the hotel zone, attracting all types of guests, from traveling business people to timeshare owners to families. The city is probably most famous for its Mayan ruins, which dot the landscape around this southern region of Mexico. From El Rey to Tulum, the ancient stone remains are unique archaeological attractions that tell the original story of the now bustling modern city. Many people also visit the area for its great dive sites. Colorful coral reefs and diverse sea life are located right offshore, and a variety of inland cenotes (deep natural wells) attract diving enthusiasts to explore the rich underwater worlds of Cancun.

Getting There
Passports are required!
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of your trip; if it isn’t, please renew it promptly.

If you book your own airfare, please forward your airline confirmation directly to Destinations by Amy to ensure accurate information is shared with our travel providers. Please include the following details:
- Passenger names (as shown on passports or government-issued ID)
- Airline, Record Locator, and Flight Number(s)
- Travel dates and times
- Departure and layover airports

Travel Recommendation
A group of rooms has been reserved through Funjet Vacations for the guests of Janine & Orion at Dreams Playa Mujeres. The pricing includes nonstop round-trip airport shared transfers to and from Cancun International Airport, all-inclusive accommodations, all meals, snacks, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, entertainment, and much more on resort as well as all taxes. This is a land only package and does not include the cost of round-trip airfare.
Booking together as a group is the most cost effective for all traveling and is the most organized way to travel. The team at Destinations by Amy looks forward to making sure the entire group is carefree and enjoys an effortless and memorable time while traveling.
Transportation
Roundtrip airport transfers are included in your package. For private roundtrip airport transfers it is an additional $134 per reservation up to 6 passengers.
Insurance
Cancellation Penalties:
$50 per person USD deposit is an agency fee and is nonrefundable.
Travel Insurance is nonrefundable.
If you do not purchase the travel insurance, full amount paid on the reservation is nonrefundable.
Travel Insurance (Only for US Citizens): Destinations by Amy strongly suggests the purchase of travel insurance. Travel insurance must be purchased at the time of deposit to reap all of its benefits. It is Cancel For Any Reason insurance and helps with baggage and weather protection. This travel protection also assists with changes and fees from booking through travel. Room Cancellation Policy: When you purchase the Funjet Vacations Travel Insurance as listed above, you may cancel right up until your departure for a full refund. If you choose not to purchase the travel insurance, the cancellation policy is as follows:

Can I book outside of the room block?
The bride and groom have already set aside a room block and signed a contract for those rooms. Rooms booked outside of their block do not count towards fulfilling their contract.

What happens if there are adjustments to my travel itinerary?
We monitor your reservation and keep you informed of any changes that could occur. Even after you finalize your booking, we will be with you to make certain everything goes smoothly.

Are there any perks to booking with Destinations by Amy?
You will be part of the wedding group and the resort will treat you as a destination wedding VIP guest. You will appear on our final guest list that gets sent to the resort prior to arrival.

What about pricing?
We work hard on getting you the best price. If you see a less expensive price for the exact package – dates, airline, airline times, taxes, insurance, transfers, etc. – give us the opportunity to work with you to see if we can get the same price. This way we can book your reservation and you can become part of the wedding party. Online prices usually do not include all that we have negotiated for the group. Please give us the opportunity to help you with this.
