Located on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit are neighboring destinations geographically divided by the Ameca River. Both share one airport: Puerto Vallarta lies just south of the International Airport in the state of Jalisco and the Riviera Nayarit is located in the state of Nayarit north of the airport. It is a privileged location, as we are fortunate to share a coastline with Banderas Bay, one of the largest and most beautiful bays in the world. Our visitors can cross from one place to the other in a matter of minutes, giving them the opportunity to explore the many attractions that make Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit a unique destination.
The predominant climate is classified as “warm sub-humid”, with an average annual temperature of 77° Fahrenheit. It’s blessed with sunny weather 90 percent of the time, making the conditions ideal for an exuberant amount of multicolored flora at the landscape.

Getting There
Passports are required!
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of your trip; if it isn’t, please renew it promptly.
Book Flights on Your Own
If you book your own airfare, please forward your airline confirmation directly to Destinations by Amy to ensure accurate information is shared with our travel providers. Please include the following details:
- Passenger names (as shown on passports or government-issued ID)
- Airline, Record Locator, and Flight Number(s)
- Travel dates and times
- Departure and layover airports

If you would like Destinations by Amy to research and book the best-valued airfare for you, we are happy to do so. An international airfare booking fee of $50 per person will be added to your deposit.

Travel Recommendation
A group of rooms has been reserved through Funjet Vacations for the guests of Ayumi and Daniel at Dreams Vallarta Bay. The pricing includes round-trip airport transfers to and from PVR Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, all-inclusive accommodations, all meals, snacks, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, entertainment, and much more on resort as well as all taxes. This is a land only package and does not include the cost of round-trip airfare.
Booking together as a group is the most cost effective for all traveling and is the most organized way to travel. The team at Destinations by Amy looks forward to making sure the entire group is carefree and enjoys an effortless and memorable time while traveling.
Transportation
Nonstop Roundtrip airport transfers are included in your package. They are shared transfers though will go direct to the resort without any other stops.

Insurance
Cancellation Penalties:
$50 per person USD deposit is an agency fee and is nonrefundable.
Travel Insurance is nonrefundable.
If you do not purchase the travel insurance, full amount paid on the reservation is nonrefundable.
Travel Insurance (Only for US Citizens): Destinations by Amy strongly suggests the purchase of travel insurance. Travel insurance must be purchased at the time of deposit to reap all of its benefits. It is Cancel For Any Reason insurance and helps with baggage and weather protection. This travel protection also assists with changes and fees from booking through travel. *Please note the change to travel insurance with two choices for refund. This is a new program and gives you a choice of the coverage you would like.
Room Cancellation Policy: When you purchase the Funjet Vacations Travel Insurance as listed above, you may cancel right up until your departure for a full refund. If you choose not to purchase the travel insurance, the cancellation policy is as follows:
